I LOVE YOU By Yutaka Ozaki(尾崎豊),is a oldies love song that captured the hearts of many Japanese of his age with a storm. This love song was written by Yutaka Ozaki when he was only 15.That's quite hard to believe, because his clever and amp; meaningful metaphors and similes used in the lyrics to convey the strong emotion of love, and the heart-moving melody that envelope it shows how talented an artist he was. This song speaks of unfulfillable love, left to be cherished in the heart.
We are just like abandoned cats
This room is like an empty box buried in dead leaves
And that is why you cry out with a voice like a kitten's
He was a teenage Idol, who grew to become a Star in a very short period capturing the hearts of the audience with his deep enchanting emotional voice. But the saddest part of his success story is that, he died mysteriously at the age 26, on April 25, 1992, after having been found half-naked in a Tokyo alleyway. The cause of death was reported as pulmonary edema.
Even after he has passed away, his love song continues to remain in the hearts of many and remind us of the pains and immaturity of love in our teenage days.
Mika Nakashima, Kasumasa Oda, Ryuichi Kawamura, Hikaru Utada, Ayaka and many Japanese artists covered Ozaki's song "I Love You". A Korean version is also covered by Max Changmin and Mandarin version by visually impaired singer, Kelvin Tan Wei Lian

Lyrics and Words in English
I love you, just for now, I don't want to hear any sad songs
I love you, I ran and ran, and found my way to this room
Because our love isn't one that is completely forgiven
We are just like abandoned cats
This room is like an empty box buried in dead leaves
And that is why you cry out with a voice like a kitten's
*If we hold one another closely
Sharing our tenderness on this creaking bed
Then, from there, we'll close our eyes again
So our love doesn't dampen into a sad love song*
I love you, because we are too young,
There are secrets about our love that must remain untouched
I love you, it's something that we can't reach in our lives right now
We'd only get hurt as we dream of a love
Where we can live as one
You ask me again and again if I love you
Almost as if you can't live without this love
(*repeat)
I love you, I ran and ran, and found my way to this room
Because our love isn't one that is completely forgiven
We are just like abandoned cats
This room is like an empty box buried in dead leaves
And that is why you cry out with a voice like a kitten's
*If we hold one another closely
